Good morning! It’s Friday, and our hurricane continues to churn northward, splashing in its great big salty bathtub like an angry child. Every few hours, the experts update their maps with new arrows and brightly colored swirls and zigzags that prompt more flurries of speculation and anticipation. The noise can get so distracting that you forget to look out the window and see what’s actually happening right now. Not tomorrow, not next week, but now.
"If you miss the present moment, you miss your appointment with life. That is very serious!"-- Thich Nhat Hanh May the "present moment" treat you kindly and gently over the next few days, Clara.
Those flowers are very pretty!
Beautiful flowers. Stay safe!
I've never noticed fall wildflowers until this year, or at least thought of them as such like I think of the spring wildflowers. Like these asters, and Joe Pye weed, etc. Next year I'll remember to look out for them like I do in spring.
And yes, when will that hurricane just up and get here, huh????
The purple asters are blooming here too. The only certainty about the hurricane is that folks in Nova Scotia, Gaspe and the Canadian Maritimes are right in it's path. Thank you for the quote Clara 💖😌
I love the quote. So often we forget to just stand and look at our feet. We are where we are right now! Love the asters.
so happy to be wearing long pants on a crisp morning. Afraid I am totally over this humid rain soaked summer that never ends
It’s weird to me that the ocean is warm enough to sustain that thing that far north. Sending all my good vibes ❤️
Hope Lee stays away!
A timely reminder!
A lovely reminder from you and Emily, to live in the now. Thank you.
The purple asters are glorious here as well.
I still have 2 Hummers dancing and diving around the feeder. Hope they don't get blown off course tomorrow!
Baton the hatches and hunker down ! Hopefully the storm will go further out to sea ! Be safe 👍
