Good morning!
It’s Friday, and our hurricane continues to churn northward, splashing in its great big salty bathtub like an angry child. Every few hours, the experts update their maps with new arrows and brightly colored swirls and zigzags that prompt more flurries of speculation and anticipation. The noise can get so distracting that you forget to look out the window and see what’s actually happening right now. Not tomorrow, not next week, but now.
And what’s happening right now, you ask?
It’s a beautiful morning. The sun is out, the air smells sweet, and the purple asters have never looked so lovely. It’s almost as if each flower has donned a new dress for this day.

Respiteers, shall we gather at 2pm Eastern to compare notes on our respective nows? As always, check your inbox just before the hour.
Onwards,
Clara
