Good morning!
It’s Monday, and I’ve led us away from the secret woodland and back to more traveled territory.
Over a rise and down a dip we’ve gone, swishing through leaves and past floompfed ferns, sidestepping a pile of souvenirs from our visiting moose, and eventually reaching this spot.
Usually we head right down to the water’s edge. But today we’re staying up here where we can better hear the calming rhythm of the waves.
“This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.”
—John Muir
