Good morning! It’s Wednesday, and look who I found! It’s the 96th cousin twice removed to my family of hollyhocks in Maine. She was bobbing above a large wooden planter that sits among several wooden planters in the middle of a street that became pedestrian-only last year. There’s an elementary school across the way, and she has a prime spot to watch children play the colorful games that have been painted on the pavement.
Wow, how awesome! Blanketing the world with flowers, one French Hollyhock to one Maine garden to who knows where! My heart beats with joy at today's musings, Clara!

May her seed grow into a big beautiful hollyhock in your garden Clara. Thank you for the photo, story and quote.💖😌🌺
I thought it was an Hibiscus!
The last mallow of summer?♥️
Oh this post just warmed my heart so much. Your magical look at the world around you reminds me to do the same in mine.
Did you grab a seed pod? You and your brother…
My favorite garden flower.
Wonderful that her baby will have family to watch over her, otherwise, it’s hard to let those babies go. I hope she thrives in your lovely garden.
This is beyond delightful on an overcast, fifty-degree day in the mountains of western NC.
You make my mornings SO happy! Love this story... and I am now contemplating a sweater in that color...hmmmm...
Well written, and made me laugh.
Love this quote. An optimist for sure!
What a great souvenir! I hope that her progeny will thrive in your garden!
She is gorgeous!!
Dreams are our future roadmaps.
Such a beautiful find! Love the promise of the quote❤️!
