Good morning! Today is Thursday. Yesterday’s Respite left some of you concerned about the bear situation at our house. Worry not, these are black bears. They’re rather like big solitary teens trying to avoid being asked to do housework. Attacks are extremely rare. They much prefer to wander up after dark, sniff around where the bird feeders should be, leave a great big plop on the path, and then saunter back down into the woods. Although, once, a bear did come up to the window and watch TV over my shoulder while sipping from the hummingbird feeder. I keep wishing he’d return, but so far he hasn’t. Maybe they got cable in the woods?
