Good morning! It’s Friday, and we made it into March before Mother Nature forgot to pay the color bill. She does this every year, but yesterday was particularly remarkable.
Beautiful! I love fog... it used to be frequent in the winter when I was growing up, dense tule fog stealthily creeping in from the Central Valley, totally different from the fog that blew in from San Francisco... magical. It brought one of my favorite childhood books, Fog Magic, to life... you couldn't even see across the street. Anything could happen or appear out of it! Anyone else remember Brigadoon? And how it muffles sound is wonderful too. What a lovely day you had yesterday!
Here in Portland, OR, Mother Nature likes to conserve her color energy, as we have several gray days. But when she does decide to turn on the color, it’s so beautiful. I especially enjoy early spring when all the trees, shrubs, etc. are emerging - it’s as though she’s using every single green crayon in her box!
Ohhhhh I do enjoy a foggy morning! We had a dusting of snow last night and it's a bit Grey. Wish I could snuggle back under the covers but alas, off to work I go.
This reminds me of one of my favorite novels, Jasper Fforde’s Shades of Grey. It’s about a dystopian world where a persons ability to perceive color establishes their level
In society. It’s funny and clever and must be read, not listened to the first time through.
Yes, it's a great book! Now I must pull it off my shelf and reread it. Funny thing-- Fifty Shades of Gray came out about the same time, and people ordering from Amazon apparently got them confused and were stunned when they started reading! 🤣
I'm weary of the dreary. I need color in my life - green grass and trees, blue skies, yellow sunshine, red, yellow and blue birds, fuchsia, orange and red flowers. I'm waiting - soon.
What a fantastic quote❣️😃 (Total gray-out is also great for sleeping👍)

Someone pulled down the shade!

I don't like grey days. They make me feel gloomy and depressed. But sometimes, i try to think of them as missing pieces of a puzzle.
I’m going to write that quote down to remind me why we need the grey days. Thank you!
Sorry! A day or 2 of grey gives us more appreciation of the colors when they start to leek thru !
Agree da

Actually, I’m curious, why not listening the first time?
Oh interesting! I will definitely check this out.
Snowing 😮
I. KNOW.
