Good morning!
It’s Friday, and I’m rather surprised that we made it all the way into March before Mother Nature forgot to pay the color bill. Or maybe there’s no bill and she simply overslept and forgot to flip a switch?
She does this every year, although yesterday was particularly remarkable for its lack of hue. To be honest, my eyes rather enjoyed the rest. They’ll be even readier to appreciate the spring colors when they finally do come.
Besides…
“A gray day provides the best light.”
—Leonardo da Vinci

I'm weary of the dreary. I need color in my life - green grass and trees, blue skies, yellow sunshine, red, yellow and blue birds, fuchsia, orange and red flowers. I'm waiting - soon.
This reminds me of one of my favorite novels, Jasper Fforde’s Shades of Grey. It’s about a dystopian world where a persons ability to perceive color establishes their level
In society. It’s funny and clever and must be read, not listened to the first time through.
