Good morning!
It’s Monday. And while those birch catkins benefited from being moved out of the road last week, the seed that formed this white pine needed no help from me. The wind carried it onto a small clump of very hospitable moss nestled in the crack of a massive granite ledge. There, the seed germinated into this beautiful tree whose roots may one day, in their perpetual quest for water and nutrients, split the mighty ledge in two.
Which is to say, never doubt the power of one small seed, with the help of a mossy friend or two, to make a very big difference.
“We don't have to engage in grand, heroic actions to participate in the process of change. Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.”
—Howard Zinn

Many small acts…
Trees are miracles. It’s easy to take them for granted
