Good morning! It’s Friday. Yesterday I spotted this lone cluster of daffodils doing reconnaissance on a south-facing slope. They were looking around to see if it was safe for the others to come up yet. I’m not sure what they decided, but their very existence gives me all the hope I need that winter is preparing to step aside and let spring take the stage.
Where I work there is a whole patch of daffodils that have been poking up leaves for a few weeks, even when we had an ice storm and a few inches of sleet and hard ice were on the ground. They are all in this together.💖🌱😌
How exciting!! Today I’m celebrating that it’s sunny outside instead of the rainy weather we’ve been having in CA. Days ago a dense fog just blanketed everything and today the sky is blue and the sun is shining!
I love that life is returning to you, we are still far from spring in Minnesota (8th snowiest on record so far, we could go as high as 5th apparently). My desk faces the front window of my house so I can see the much deeper snowbanks and I’m at the point in winter where I feel like I will never see my yard again, even though I can see it out the back (it gets the afternoon sun so the heat reflects off my siding and melts the snow closest to my house). Someday I will figure out I need to book a tropical vacation in March. 😂
And they can withstand wind also! May get bent over, but in a day or 2 are standing upright again, smiling in the sun. We should learn from their resilience
Thank you. I needed this quote today ❤️
Hallelujah❣️Brava, daffodils!
How joyful. Someone’s thoughtful legacy.

What an auspicious find! Those buds fill me with a much-needed sense of possibility. Gorgeous photo.

Beautiful hope
This gives me hope!
Perfect shades of green for St. Patrick’s Day!
We’ve had daffs and magnolias blooming in SW Ohio for about3 weeks now, and, indeed, my soul is reviving!
Isn't Nature amazing?
What A beautiful quote to match your promise of Spring!🌷
I really appreciate the hardiness of daffys and look forward to seeing them again.

I love how bravely they sit above the snow. A little bit of white stuff doesn't scare them.
