Good morning!

It’s Friday. Yesterday I spotted this lone cluster of daffodils doing reconnaissance on a south-facing slope. They were looking around to see if it was safe for the others to come up yet. I’m not sure what they decided, but their very existence gives me all the hope I need that winter is preparing to step aside and let spring take the stage.

“The beautiful spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also.”

—Harriet Ann Jacobs

Respiteers, won’t you join me at 2pm for our gathering? As always, check your inboxes right before the hour.

Onwards and upwards,

Clara
