Good morning! It’s Tuesday, and I’m still thinking about a particular line from David Whyte’s poem from yesterday—the one where he asked, “What shape waits in the seed of you to grow and spread its branches against a future sky?” As if reading my thoughts, these geese came honking into view to show me how it’s done.
Geese in formation giving a shout out to other avian relations by shaping their formation to look like the outline of a bird like a sparrow, maybe. How perfectly harmonious is that! Thanks, Clara. And your encyclopedia of significant quotes is bottomless. Or should it be stratospheric? Love the Respite!
You have given us much to ponder this week. Geese have that basic v formation, but within it, they move and help each other out, and the formation is flexible to move as it needs. I hope that within me my spirit is also flexible and never rigid, and that it is always ready to help out and change as needed.
Oh! So true! I have a dear friend to whom I look in times of stress and change. The two of us agree that about the time you think you have mastered the organization of your life, a major support block of the system collapses and one or the other of us is once again feeling our way through the umteenth learning experience. Apparently it never ends! Lol! We comfort ourselves with the belief that we will be wiser on the other end of the rebuilding.
I’m having a little difficulty, as I get really Older, wobbling thru Change. It isn’t my favorite thing, but I continue to remind myself that I’ve always been resilient, in the midst of my resistance.
Oh boy! Canada geese (a favorite) and a spark of a reminder of inspirational lines from a great 1966 song from The Yardbirds: Shapes of Things. "Shapes of things before my eyes . . . " Sensing a theme here.
No signs of Spring here! We got snow again last night. Still, I do know that it will be Spring at some point. Thanks for the beautiful photo of the geese.

Geese flying overhead, hearing them talk to one another. It is a grand sight, fills me with hope and reassurance.
I wonder what they are saying to each other….”turn left right here!!” Maybe…Who knows??
Spring is indeed coming! No matter todays weather.🥰

Wonderful
Turn and face the strange ch-ch-changes--Ooh, look out, you rock 'n' rollers.
Always comes into my head when talking about changes!

I've always found the flying V's that geese make mysterious and wonderful and magical. I always have to watch them until they disappear from view.
Now, I need to watch "Fly Away Home" again.
It was nice and sunny yesterday but today it’s gloomy and raining!

There is nothing constant in Springtime!
The geese at my retirement center lounge on the lawns , strut down the middle of the streets, and act as if they own the place.
I don’t think I’ve seen formations that large, wow. 200?
