Good morning! It’s Monday, and I’ve broken all my previous self-imposed rules and boldly cut the very first peony to bloom in the garden. It is also, if I dare say so myself, the finest peony I’ve ever seen.
One of the tenants in the building I manage gifted me two exquisite Yellow peonies last week. I swooned! Creamy, beautiful yellow - a color I did not know peonies bloomed in! What a gift!
So lovely! Thank you for sharing; one of my favorite flowers that will not grow in my yard. So I treasure them whenever I see them and I bow to you who can grow them!
Gorgeous!! I had a brief relationship with a peony…when we bought this house (and wild garden)31 years ago, one lone peony plant showed up in the early spring, one lone and gorgeous light pink bud blossomed into full glory. Just one. I think it was overwhelmed by other plants surrounding it, and it never bloomed again. Not being a gardener, myself, I tend to let plants fend for themselves in our natural wooded surroundings. Some get along fine, some don’t. But it was one beautiful flower I will never forget.
Thank you Clara. I have found myself turning more and more to nature to sooth my troubled soul - let us always appreciate and care for our Mother Earth.
Take care in the heat. Maine's forecast is worse than ours, and that is bad enough. Be cool.

Wow, almost all our peonies have gone by already. Their smell is one of my favorites. Very classy to put one exquisite peony alone in a bud vase. :)

Aww, that's too bad. Some of them did take a while to bloom and looked unpromising, but eventually they came through.
They don't like my clay/adobe soil and what does grow the gophers just clap their hands and cheer!
Beautiful. I love peonies, they’re one of my favorite flowers. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Clara. I don't have peonies, but I do have a bumper crop of clover in full bloom.💖😌
😂👍
Thank you. We need peonies, and respites, more than ever.
“… and feel the soft, cool petals against your cheeks.” 🩷
Thank you! It’s perfect, especially the creamy edges…
Wonderful! Thanks 🤗
Love peonies and Woolf. Thanks.
Thank you. ❤️
Oh, how beautiful! Thank you so much!
