Good morning! It’s Thursday, and as we near the darkest day of the year, my favorite menagerie has been put back into service. Every morning and evening, I light the candles and wait for their warmth to drift upwards and tickle the propellers, prompting them to spin and set the whole menagerie in silent, graceful motion.
Another sweet smile post and quote from you. Thank you. We found a similar one in an antique store last year, and although we have not yet lit the candles, it is sitting in the sun by the window, and the other day the heat from the sun had it twirling around.
Oh! I remember this from a previous year! Or am I making that up? We had one of these in a different flavor. Ours had wooden horses if I remember correctly who circled with the heat of candles. Such wonderful memories!
How beautiful and unique. I don't suppose that these are available anymore. So nice to have something so nice that doesn't have to have batteries, cords, outlets, etc.!!!
We are having our first big snow in the Milwaukee area today and it would be perfect on my dining room table!!!
My grandma Alice had one made out of metal that would twirl angels around with little chimes. We would spend Christmas Eve starting at her house and then go to my other grandparents house. My grandma Alice always let me set up the twirling angels and put baby Jesus in the nativity. My favorite part was getting to use this pretty metal candle snuffed to snuff out the candles. I have the angels although they have broken over the many years of use and the candle snuffer too.
OH!! So lovely! Reminds me of my childhood. We lit a candle for each advent Sunday. I loved watching it go round and round... thank you for that happy memory!
Ohhh lovely❣️I am so glad to see it again❣️
This is one of the most charming things I've ever seen.
Always love this one from you,
