Good morning! It’s Wednesday. Yesterday’s Respite seems to have appeased the asters—though now the cosmos are giving me a strange look. Could they be lonely? Needing visitors? The bees seem to have packed up and headed south, or west, or wherever they go when it turns cold. Maybe the bees stay put and just tuck themselves into bed for the winter. And what would a bee bed look like, pray tell? An elaborate thing with a rose-petal canopy and a moss-stuffed mattress? Or do bees prefer something more outdoorsy, perhaps a hammock slung between two blades of grass? Do they also need a teeny tiny alarm clock and a glass of water by their bedside? What about a favorite stuffed animal?
