Good morning!
It’s Sunday. Thanks to the residual effects of this week’s supermoon, our tide is even lower than usual—affording us a glimpse at barnacle-covered rocks that are usually barely visible.
In the distance, a lone boat makes its way to Isleboro. But we are not floating or bobbing or chugging across any deep dark waters. We are simply standing at the edge of it all, taking in a welcome moment of calm.
“…simply wait, be quiet, still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.”
—Franz Kafka
