Good morning! It’s Monday, and it’s our last full week in Paris. Mind if I keep us in the Luxembourg Gardens? I know I go on about this place, but it really is an extraordinary park. It’s not just ornamental, people really, really use it. A case in point: these green chairs. Hundreds of them are scattered throughout the park. Some have arms, some don’t. And some—the most coveted of the bunch—have a deeper recline that puts you in an optimal position for napping. People are constantly moving the chairs to follow sunbeams, seek solitude, join friends, hold bags, prop up tired feet, you name it. If those chairs could talk, just think of the stories they could tell.
