Good morning! It’s Thursday. The ferns are finally stretching their legs and pricking up their ears to find out what they’ve missed while they were asleep. This is the best time to catch up on woodland gossip. Soon they’ll unfurl their fronds and join the chorus. But for now, they’re quietly catching up.
That is the most perfect quote ever, and I love the ferns--thinking of planting some this year, goes with my theme for my yard of small cozy clearing in a forest.💖😌
I love the quote! I love the beautiful photo of fiddleheads and your take on them . No ferns here at my house but the photo is inspiring and I may have to seek some out at the garden shops this weekend!
Grampa would very much like your post today. He loved ferns. His birthday.
I love to watch them unfurl! Kind of like my 6’4” husband getting out of Miata.
And those fiddleheads are delicious too. We dined on a few yesterday.

Thanks for this image. It reminds me of another treat from nature when I lived on Bainbridge Island, WA.
Excellent quote!! I love the way those plants unfurl in this stage they remind me of plants in Dr. Seuss books.

Isn't unfurling a wonderful word?
