Look for them to spread next year. They’ve taken over my beds and are a welcome harbinger of spring. I see them in Washington state in April.

One year I found a whole patch of narcissus blooming at the edge of the scrub near an old fence. Astonishing! I would never plant these because I can’t stand the scent, but I hadn’t seen them I. The decades of living in that house…

I love my volunteers❣️Most often I choose to believe that the birds have planted gifts for me on purpose 😊. Or maybe as a thank you for my delicious birdseed mix! My volunteer oak tree, now 8-9 ft. tall, still spindly but healthy, is the most miraculous. Love the quote❣️There is SO much information I don’t need. 😊 Wondering (wandering, too) is good for people.

Love the quote and the flowers. At first sight, they stirred something delightful from my childhood. Maybe sunny summer days spent playing and exploring outside. Only coming inside when called for lunch or dinner.

I know the feeling . . .this spring, there are tall, beautiful gladiolas blooming in unexpected places. How did that happen?

Bear must have taken a sneaky trip across the Atlantic. I have some in my garden and I didn’t put them there!
