Good morning! It’s Thursday. One of the many joys of gardening with another person comes when something appears that neither of you remembers having planted—as is the case with these beautiful purple flowers that appeared in the front bed this year.
One year I found a whole patch of narcissus blooming at the edge of the scrub near an old fence. Astonishing! I would never plant these because I can’t stand the scent, but I hadn’t seen them I. The decades of living in that house…
In my yard it would be 'maybe the gophers moved it here?'. Anything that pops up in my 'garden' is welcome and no need to know from whence it came! Some mystery is necessary in life....
I love my volunteers❣️Most often I choose to believe that the birds have planted gifts for me on purpose 😊. Or maybe as a thank you for my delicious birdseed mix! My volunteer oak tree, now 8-9 ft. tall, still spindly but healthy, is the most miraculous. Love the quote❣️There is SO much information I don’t need. 😊 Wondering (wandering, too) is good for people.
Love the quote and the flowers. At first sight, they stirred something delightful from my childhood. Maybe sunny summer days spent playing and exploring outside. Only coming inside when called for lunch or dinner.
Look for them to spread next year. They’ve taken over my beds and are a welcome harbinger of spring. I see them in Washington state in April.
What A fabulous quote!

Spanish bluebells or wood hyacinth. Sure are pretty! They came over and planted themselves?

They look like English bluebells.
How pretty!
I think it must have been your garden gnome that protected this plant and gifted it to you.
Love this quote!!!
This is such a great quote!
Isn't it though? Such a vast truth in so few words.

I know the feeling . . .this spring, there are tall, beautiful gladiolas blooming in unexpected places. How did that happen?
I love bluebells. They mean spring and early summer
Bear must have taken a sneaky trip across the Atlantic. I have some in my garden and I didn’t put them there!
What an intensely delightful quote. Thank you.
Bluebells to ring in each day! Must have been Bear. He’s so thoughtful that way.
