Good morning!
It’s Wednesday, and right on schedule, the daylilies have started to open. While not true lilies, they do live up to the other half of their name. Each flower has but one day to open and be tickled by all the bees and butterflies they can. Then, by sunset, their day is over.
But by the looks of things, that one day is enough.
“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island of opportunities and look toward another land. There is no other land; there is no other life but this.”
—Henry David Thoreau

I love seeing fields of (what I call) "ditch" flowers. They add a burst of color to an otherwise green only roadside. And my day lilies are in full bloom too. So much color in the summer - I need color in my life and summer is my happy time.
“Consider the lilies….”
