Good morning!
It’s Sunday. Nature Respites in Paris are a bit different than they are back home, since we lack the luxury of solitude and silence. But if you know where to look, you can still find pockets of nature all around. And in this case, as we gazed into the semi-psychedelic, wibbly-wobbly waters of the Medici Fountain in the Luxembourg Gardens, a handsome pair of ducks found us.
“The love of wilderness is more than a hunger for what is always beyond reach; it is also an expression of loyalty to the earth, the earth which bore us and sustains us, the only paradise we shall ever know, the only paradise we ever need, if only we had the eyes to see.”
—Edward Abbey
