January 1, 2026
Good morning!
It’s Thursday, and a new year has begun.
Numerologists are particularly excited about 2026. If you add up all the numbers, you get 10, which apparently makes this “Universal Year 1,” whatever that means.
What I do know is that “10” is cultural shorthand for a perfect score—which means this year has already won and we haven’t even made it through the first day.
That’s what I call a victory—and an auspicious start to a fresh new cycle.
“And now let us believe in a long year that is given to us, new, untouched, full of things that have never been, full of work that has never been done, full of tasks, claims, and demands; and let us see that we learn to take it without letting fall too much of what it has to bestow upon those who demand of it necessary, serious, and great things.”
—Rainer Maria Rilke
Shall we?

Happy New Year, now back to hibernation. LOL. We fly back to Denver from Iceland today. The fireworks last night were unbelievable! It was a bucket list item that I didn't even know I had. By the way, that quote is lovely. Wishing us all a very happy and healthy 2026! Let's hope for a 10 out of 10 year!
Happy New Year, Clara! Here's hoping 2026 is a vast improvement on 2025!
