What a beautiful pattern--knit or woven.

I love hollyhocks but somehow they've never grown here. They may need more sun than where I plant them....

Again you teach me something. Thank you. My father's favorite flower was the hollyhock, but obviously I was not very observant, as I had never seen this. The quote is spot on too - I think we could learn a lot from the wisdom of nature.

How lucky and blessed we are to have eyes to see, feelings to take in, joy to share this natural gift of the season, flowers fading into seed heads, into the earth again over winter. And then, “to survive death’s blow, alive, to make another spring.” Last line of a poem my grannie wrote.
