Good morning!

It’s Sunday. And despite its best efforts, Paris could never mimic the spaciousness and tranquility of Maine. Nevertheless, the grand old trees are full of birds singing their hearts out. Other people may be strolling along with friends, chatting away, headed toward somewhere else. Which is fine and good. But we get to stand still, gaze up, and listen.

“A birdsong can even, for a moment, make the whole world into a sky within us, because we feel that the bird does not distinguish between its heart and the world’s.”

—Rainer Maria Rilke

Onwards we go,
