Good morning! It’s Friday. Yesterday I rolled a magnetic bar around the yard trying to locate my beloved’s favorite pair of pruners, which went missing after a particularly zealous session of spring cleanup. The more I searched, the more elusive the pruners became. Instead, I was rewarded with a bountiful heap of screws and nails and unidentifiable small metal bits—all of which made delightfully satisfying clicks when the magnet got them.
My missing pruners usually are found by digging through all I've pruned and then tossed into a bag to be discarded- easy mistake to make when you are tired. Hope they come out of hiding!
My biggest fear was that one (or both) of you would step on any of those rusty items in your bare feet! I guess you haven’t begun bare feet weather but look how much safer you guys are now!
My trick for finding a missing item... buy a new one. The old one always shows up after!

OMGosh! 👍 Great quote and excellent conversation, 🤣, even before the conversational part of the day❣️
OMG. That quote struck me right between the eyes. Thank you so much, Clara.
What a brilliant idea. And what a success - despite the lack of pruner find. Perhaps they are hiding under the gardening gloves.

Sounds like the pruners are still hiding out. I bet they will eventually turn up, probably in an unexpected location.💖😌
A rolling magnet would come in handy when I accidentally drop my pins when making bobbin lace!
I love the idea of a rolling magnet - maybe it will find the metal that my rolling car tires usually find :-)
Best of luck re-finding the pruners. My pruners found me years ago - a gift to me and my friends in the garden beds.
Magnetic bar that can be rolled across an area? There's a tool that my husband doesn't already have?!
Love this quote from one of my favorite books—so much of which is quotable. And how very true…
Cherchez les sécateurs!
Be careful not to be caught up in the act of searching rather than the search itself.
Dear god I feel like I have spent my entire life searching for some missing treasure! The quote is me.
I hope you find the them!
The bonus finds of knitters: stitch markers show up in the most unexpected places (i.e. the shower).
Sometimes we get frantic in searching and off the path ( from experience !)
