Good morning!
It’s Saturday. Yesterday was another glorious day. I went down to the water, took off my shoes and socks, rolled up my jeans, and had a good old-fashioned wade. The water was crystal clear and smooth and endlessly inviting—but I could tell that things were changing.
Usually, the wind comes straight at us from the west, or southwest, or even southeast, from the direction of the singing bridge. But yesterday it was blasting from the north, which almost never happens.
As I stood there, a thin veil of clouds slid across the sky. I remembered the brilliant trick we learned earlier this year at Respite University. I glanced up, and there it was! That beautiful halo around the sun telling us that wet weather is coming.
“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.”
—John Ruskin
I mean… within reason.

Wonderful! I love sun halos. Also sun 'dogs' which occur when the sides of those halos are the only things visible.
The caveat on the weather is definitely warranted!
