Today is Friday. Remember those sad, spindly onions I planted back in May? Well, here they are! Behold what three months of water and sunshine can do.
These came out of the ground a few weeks ago and have been patiently curing in the barn. Yesterday I finally sat down with my clippers and gave each onion a haircut before putting it in the basket that will, in a few more weeks, go down into the basement for the winter. We’ve come full circle for another year.
