Today is Wednesday. For weeks now, I’ve been creating sidewalk traffic jams every time I see something amazing and have to stop. I can’t help it. Could be an ornate doorway, an intriguing narrow passageway, a grand church, a quirky building facade, even streetlamps and water fountains will make me pause. It’s all so beautiful. Meanwhile, the Parisians maneuver around me with their best blasé expressions.
But yesterday, I finally saw a cluster of French friends lose their composure about something. They looked to their left, exclaimed, rushed to a window, and stood there in absolute awe.
What finally made them crack?
