Ah, yes. Ticks. I would use Cedarcide to Create a tick and mosquito free zone, including paths in the field. Can we have a bonnet-based post?

I love your path! A mowed swath for moseying. Thank you Gunther! Enjoy your walks… and may they end with fewer tick tagalongs.

Wonderful path on this day

Just gorgeous! I’m hopeful that Gunther can be driven from a seated position. This kind of mowers have always looked so cool to me. I’m sure they may have some issues but they absolutely look glorious to me. Enjoy your path!

I so love contemplative moseying!

Lovely to have a meadow to walk through but ticks would have me creeped out. We don’t have ticks except if you go to the mountains and then you must be careful. Happy meandering!

Why not continue to only mow paths for a few years. I decided to do this thirty years ago and have had shade to wander in for years now. I planted several bushes to feed birds and let the birds plant the trees. I use to walk out my lane and down the country road for exercise. Even the creek side did not sound as full of bird sounds as my lane. I know you have woods to wander but this is more open grasses and bushes and eventually trees to nurture birds and bugs.

Oh absolutely! That’s all we do in the field - and that’s part of why I needed to mow the path now before things got too big. We used to have no path at all, which made each trek feel even more intrusive. Crunch crunch crunch. But now, it’s almost like we’ve made a pact with the meadow. Help yourself to it all, we’ll just stay here.
