Good morning!
It’s Wednesday, and the sun surprised us the other day by peeping through our one east-facing window and onto a maidenhair fern who was so unaccustomed to sunshine that she let out a yelp.
I reminded her that the sun does this for a few days each spring and autumn, and she reminded me that I usually move her out of the way when it happens. So I did.
Now she’s in a spot where she can admire the light without being blinded by it.
“It is only through shadows that one comes to know the light.”
