I can’t tell for sure, at least two, and hopefully more stalwart tulips survived the munching deer from last Spring. They and the tiger lilies are starting to peek above the ground. The temps and winds keep ping ponging in Michigan.

Winter aconite is out all over, bright yellow, just above ground, immensely cheering. Am resolving to plant more clumps of crocus this fall! Also amazed at how aconite travels by itself and as I move other plants! It’s a hitchhiker!

I always love the promise that spring brings with it. The new green bits appearing in the gardens will soon be flowers to brighten even the dreariest of days.

Always a joy to see those first shoots poking up their heads. Spring is coming.

Love this time when the world is still a brownish grey and shoots appear. Alas, here our daffs are in full bloom waiting for snow this aft and a 20 degree temp drop tomorrow. Ah, Spring, how I love you even in your fecklessness!

She hasn't a single feck to give, does she?

We are getting ready to look for signs of Spring but we are still having lots of Winter in between.

How exciting! As much as I love winter, spring is always so special.
