Good morning!
It’s Tuesday—and after a quiet month of contemplation at the top of the basement stairs, my pink boozy rhubarb elixir was finally ready to leave her nest. Yesterday I ceremonially strained the faded stalks, gave the mixture a dab of Grand Marnier behind each ear, and poured it into a bottle for safe storage.
Most went into a bigger bottle, but I had just enough left to fill this small milk bottle that I brought back from Japan. (Because of course I brought it home with me.)
It amuses me to imagine these well-mannered dairy cows punching out when the clock strikes 5pm and heading to their favorite shade tree for a small tipple or two before dinner.
“You must await your thirst and allow it to become complete: otherwise you will never discover your spring, which can never be anyone else’s!”

Great quote! Wow, that rhubarb tipple looks so pretty and delicious.
When life hands you rhubarb, make wine! I love the color.
