Good morning!
It’s Sunday. After yesterday’s contemplative stroll, we’re ready for a bit more adventure. We’ve walked down the long dirt road. We’ve tiptoed and climbed and wobbled and sloshed and splashed and scrambled. We’ve checked ourselves for ticks, checked ourselves again, and done a third check for good measure. All good!
Our reward is to stand here at the water’s edge. It’s almost high tide. The buoy is ringing, the water is splashing, the air smells spicy and sweet.
I’ve given us two full minutes to stand here and take it all in.
“Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.”
—A.A. Milne, Winnie The Pooh
Onwards we go,
Clara
The quote reminds me of that moment in Siddhartha when he stands by the river and sees all of life in its flow…
