Good morning! It’s Saturday, and today’s unplanned garden occupant hasn’t bloomed yet—but her presence is significant enough to merit a mention before we move on to other things. Like milkweed, tansy has a habit of putting down roots and making herself comfortable.
You can make it whatever day you like! It was just a moment to return to myself and ask a question! I don't think I see tansy in the weeds along my stretch of road and ditches. I wonder if that might not be something the gophers DON'T like?!?
years ago, I rode w/my husband in his tractor-trailer. Because freight gets moved to distribution center a minimum of 6 months ahead of time, I never EVER knew what month it was, let alone a day - right now the last of Christmas items should be at those centers, and maybe even a bit of New Years things too ~ I always felt like I was in a fog, not knowing what day it is, if bills are due, or is the water getting shut off, or because I think it's the end of September?!....le sigh......
Oh my goodness I had a moment of pause. Panic that I had somehow lost a few days which can TOTALLY happen to me. Fortunately I was able to verify that it is indeed Thursday. Not sure it matters a lot, but I feel more grounded knowing. It isn't bad to question reality from time to time though! ;-)
When retired l, it can be any day we want. Imagine! I read in some natural pest controls book that planting Tansy along the foundation of your home keeps ants out. My fear is that I wouldn't be able to keep the Tansy out! 🤣
I strive for the day when all days can be any day they want - it sounds really quite lovely. In the meantime, I'm sorry I got my days so ridiculously ahead of themselves.
Yes I too was confused and when you are almost 70 like me, remembering what day it is becomes a daily occurrence 😂😂. But I did confirm that it is indeed Thursday, 💖🌸
Thursday! It's Thursday! Holy moly, I wish I had a trustworthy person who emailed me every morning to remind ME what day it is. 🤣
So sorry for any confusion or momentary HUH?? this might have caused you.
Honestly, I didn't even notice. I never know what day it is. Ah, retirement....;)
I thoroughly enjoyed my momentary HUH?! Wait… really? 🤣❤️
I had gallbladder surgery yesterday and I was A bit confused for A second!
Oh yikes! I hope you're feeling stable and on the way to a full recovery.

So really, you're saying that it's a miracle I managed to place us in the correct week, month, and year? 🤣
Yes! the ugly heat may have caused your foggy brain, but you got it all straightened out! Yay!!
Thank you. We use the flower heads to dye wool yellow. It’s sort of a weed, though.

Now I can pretend that this was all intentional, part of some really wise mindfulness exercise?
Hot here in south jersey 90!going to go to the ocean !
Clara, if you say it's Saturday, it's Saturday in my world! I guess I need to head downtown for the parade!
You are just making it a 4 day weekend!!!😊
Ha! I like this.
I really had to stop and think…
What's funny is that I really genuinely thought today was going to be Saturday. It wasn't even a typo, it was total time travel.
Holiday weeks are always kind of disorienting.

Apology accepted although, not necessary!! It is lovely.
FYI, Clara—it’s Thursday!
I am shaking my head and sighing 🤣

I am so sorry! I've been sitting here for several hours now, wondering how on earth I could've gotten so far ahead of my week.
My husband and I do the today is ...and review this little exercise most days to stay oriented and keep our memory going. LOL
I understand and I opened and closed it twice to get oriented. Now I am ok.
I'm so sorry Linda! And just wait until it really IS Saturday. Maybe I'll call it... Tuesday?
Yes, indeed. Lovely Tansy. Lovely Thursday!
Indeed! I'm actually relieved it's only Thursday - how I got to Saturday...no idea.
I just like the word - Tansy. But the plant is lovely too.
I so agree! If we ever adopt another cat, we've decided its name will be Tansy.
Happy Thursday, Clara! Hope you stay cool in this oppressive heat. Beautiful tansy buds. ❤️🤗
And happy Monday to you! What are "days" anymore, right? 🤣
Totally!! 😜
Clara, Did you know it isn't Saturday? but Thursday.....
Tansy is very interesting. And, summer has a way of melding days into days.
As of 6:01am this morning I definitely did! So sorry about that.
