Good morning!
It’s Friday. Yesterday, Mr. Rogers said that our job was to help people realize how rare and valuable each of us is. What better way to recognize and celebrate our rare and valuable selves than with a very healthy and nutritious breakfast parfait that is definitely not a hot fudge sundae*?
Double sprinkles go to my mother, who is celebrating her birthday today—and to the memory of E.B. White, who would be 126 years old today and who, I’m guessing, consumed his fair share of nutritious breakfast parfaits in his time.
“Everything in this creation is a sign of celebration.”
- Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Respiteers, shall we gather at 2pm to celebrate all the ways in which each of us is rare and valuable? As always, check your inbox right before the hour for your magic link.
Onwards we go,
Clara
* Just kidding. It is a hot fudge sundae. With sprinkles.
I want what she's having.
I love it that our mothers have the same birthday (mine is 98 today and going strong!). And I'm a big fan of E.B. White - how did I not know to celebrate him today, too? Many thanks for all the incredibly good work you do, Clara.
