Good morning!

It’s Wednesday. Yesterday I went outside to wait for the sun to melt our car. The air was perfectly still, without even the faintest puff. And yet I could still see the clouds moving overhead, as if some invisible stage crew were busily changing sets for the next act.

Then, in the upper left corner, I did a double-take. Was I seeing a woman’s profile? Could this be our celestial stage manager, shouting instructions from way up high? Or maybe she was blowing the clouds offstage herself? I’ll never know, because the second she spotted me, she disappeared.

“The world is its own magic.”

—Shunryu Suzuki

On with the show,

Clara
