Good morning!
It’s Friday. Yesterday, Mother Nature decided to wipe our world clean in honor of the New Year. She covered everything in a pristine layer of snow.
Naturally, I had to go outside and say hello.
“Take long walks in stormy weather or through deep snows in the fields and woods, if you would keep your spirits up. Deal with brute nature. Be cold and hungry and weary.”
—Henry David Thoreau
Yes, but also make sure there’s hot cider and a fire waiting for you back home.
Onwards,
Clara

The blessing of a snow storm is the ability to release the angel in it.
Very grateful that HDT was in the philosopher and cabin and pencil business. He wouldn't have made it far selling greeting cards:
"Be cold and hungry and weary.
All best to You and Yours in the New Year."
(Mmmmm. Hearth fire and hot cider! I imagine thick quilts and thick books are also available? Reminds me of a magnet I saw recently: 'Explore the great indoors!' LOL)
