Good morning!
It’s Thursday, and our wheels have successfully carried us down the coast towards civilization—“civilization” being a relative term in a state whose entire population barely matches that of San Diego. Leaving here always happens in stages, just as deep-sea divers must descend slowly to allow their bodies to adjust to the increase in pressure. Each step gives us time to adjust and prepare for the next.
Soon, we’ll be inside a great metal creature with wings powerful enough to carry us across an ocean and to a different continent. But before we join the streaks in the sky, we’ll simply stand here together, tea in hand, and admire the streaks that Mother Nature has left on the glass for us.
“There is more to life than increasing its speed.”
—Mahatma Gandhi
Onwards we go,
Clara
Another nature painting...easy to miss at higher speeds. So pretty! Those layers of transition through saturation is the breathing room I need to remain grounded... like from home to bagging groceries at Market Basket and back. Have fun over the pond!!
Have fun!
