Good morning!

Happy Sunday. I’d planned to take you down to the pond with me today for a crunchy expedition across the ice. But 40mph winds and a -22F windchill were too much, even for this brave arctic explorer.

Instead, let’s travel back to a sunny September afternoon when the milkweed was high, the crickets were cricketing, and the monarch caterpillars were busily munching away. There’s a surprise guest at the one-minute mark.

“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”

— Maya Angelou

Here’s to the journey,

Clara
