Hot pepper enhanced birdseed is a squirrel deterrent. If only the gooseberry bushes were blessed with cayenne. Perhaps a sprinkle!

Love the image of the "inmates" banging their cups against their bars.

Wonderful story❣️I toss seed out (from time to time) in front of my well-detached garage. We all have our own Spaces👍(One of my all-time Lamott favorites❣️❣️❣️Thank you❣️)

You’ve just got to love it. Free entertainment until things get out of hand.

How can you say no to that cute face?!

In the same spirit I have aways liked-what part of "no" don't you understand?

Skeezicks is, once again, thrilled to see Patrick. He is using front paw sign language, to say. "See. There's always plenty to be had under the feeders!"

"No IS a complete sentence." Ever since I read that, I have put it into practice. It is so honest and saves so many words.

We have too many Richards to count, and one—or many—of them fund it hilarious to taunt our little Louis by banging on the door or conducting a staring contest through the glass. Humph!

Wise move then, and always - squirrels do not excel at emotional regulation!

Three of the gray ones were first out in the yard for yesterday's birdseed, even before I was back in the house! They chase each other away while trying to grab some for themselves, round and round.

I admire the tenacity of the small birds who work through the chaos and seem to enjoy a more satisfying breakfast!

It makes you wonder what those birds say to one another, and how they psych out the squirrels.

We need reminders of this fabulous Anne Lamont quote – thank you, Clara, for the repeat post and that reminder. 🧡
