Good morning! It’s Wednesday. No sooner had the rain stopped yesterday than three momma turkeys finally decided to introduce their brood to the cafeteria beneath our feeder.
We haven't seen our turkeys yet this year. Maybe it's been too hot. They are so cute walking down the street in our neighborhood. I'm glad yours made an appearance.
I love seeing them. They are so silly. The hens always hurry like a woman who has mislaid her handbag, and is racing back to look for it. We live near the Natchez Trace. One day, on the Trace, we had to stop for a large group of turkeys, a large herd of deer, and a large herd of goats, which are wily and find ways out of most fences. I walk all over our acreage, and sometimes surprise a Tom turkey in the tall grass. They become so indignant!
I enjoy your bird feeder turkeys. Doves like our buffet below the feeder, as well as a chipmunk or two. Wildlife is very entertaining.
the little babies are so cute ~ I love to see the wild turkeys when we drive the back roads near our house...you never know what their going to do!

No wild turkeys that I ever see around here but we saw them frequently when we used to go to our timeshare in Montana.

Sweet little group! We’ve only seen two moms with one chick each this year.
We have a turkey family with 12 little ones roaming our neighborhood. It’s quite something when they come through the yard!
