Good morning!
Today is Friday. Meet the newest employee at my wine and cheese shop. His name is Lil’ Pearlz or Alphonse, depending who you ask. He had climbed into the undercarriage of his human’s car (also an employee of the shop) and ridden to work with him. Which is remarkable in itself, but even more so when you learn that the car in question was a small Chevy sedan, and the ride was an entire hour on roads not renowned for their smoothness.
And he survived.
Only after his human returned home and went on vacation did someone notice a rabbit hopping around the parking lot. “And so we have Lil’ Pearlz for two weeks!” they told me. “Or Alphonse.”
He was sniffing the Muscadet while I was there, but apparently he’s also quite interested in the champagne.
“It doesn't matter what people tell you. It doesn't matter what they might say. Sometimes you have to leave home. Sometimes, running away means you're headed in the exact right direction.”

Subscribers, shall we gather at 2pm to discuss the nuances of running away? As always, check your inbox before the hour.
Hippety hopping ever onwards,

What a wonderful story and new beginning for Lil' Pearls. And it comes as I'm saying goodbye to my elderly bunny boy, Buck, who is binkying on to join his bunny friends Pearl and Sirius. Even in sadness, there is joy and hope!
Wishing LP and all his humans many happy days with lots of stories to share - not scary car rides ones, though. : -)
I’m glad that he survived and that you have a new employee. Or mascot. Hope all’s well. (Cornie, former co-owner of Madrona)
