It looks like the top of Cadillac Mountain on Mt. Desert Island. I love Maine!!!

It’s our miniature Cadillac Mtn, minus the road or other people 😊

It is so lovely. Good to take it all in!

so so beautiful. There is a cliff walk in Lubec - near the lighthouse - that I love to take. The pines smell so wonderful, the ocean smells and sounds almost otherworldly. There is nothing like the Maine coastline in the world. Thank you thank you

I declare—your posts often make so nostalgic, Clara. This one reminds me of standing in the surf at Mile Beach in Reid State Park as a 10 year old and looking out to the far horizon where I was sure I could see Portugal!

I’d probably end up in the water! This looks like what Anne Rivers Siddons described in Colony❤️

(Ah! That spot was to the left and up the coast by a few miles - but this is the bay!)

“All I could see from where I stood / Was three long mountains and a wood; / I turned and looked another way / And saw three islands in the bay…”

I might land in the water and float to the next island- ahhhhhh
