It’s a beautiful Sunday back home in Maine. For our nature respite, we stand at the open window and rejoice in the return of the hermit thrush. If you listen closely you’ll also hear the faint trill of peepers. Peepers!
None of which can be heard by the people in that jet passing overhead on its way from Heathrow to JFK.
