Good morning!
It’s Thursday, and we finally saw two tidy young ruffians defy the “PELOUSE INTERDITE” sign and walk on the grass. I repeat, they walked on the grass.
A while later, another guy tried the same thing, only to be scolded back onto the path by his fellow super-cool disaffected ruffian friends. Grass is that sacred here.
Then you find a piece of grass where sitting and walking and lounging and napping are allowed. And like moths to a flame, the people come.
“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.”
—John Lubbock
Onwards while gazing upwards,
Clara
Love the story & the quote. Ahhh, cloud watching - let’s do it!
So glad to see those abnormally squared off trees! And the parisians relaxing on a lovely spring day.
