Good morning!
It’s Friday. Normally, our view is rather like a flat backdrop of woods painted by someone with a gift for perspective. But on cloudy, misty, foggy days like yesterday, Mother Nature turns on the fog machine and suddenly you realize that you’re not looking at a flat painting at all. You’re seeing a succession of ridges, each outlined by the mist, marching onwards toward infinity.
The nature of the mist kept changing, too, from an impenetrable curtain to a delicate veil, from soupy to smoky to watery and back again. Then came a sudden brilliance, as if a single tree had been engulfed in flames. I’d look again and realize that it was just more of Mother Nature’s masterful stage design.
“Truly the schemes and wonders of Nature are illimitable.”
— Charles Darwin

Rolling ever onwards,
Clara
