Good morning!
It’s Wednesday—and the keen observer may have noticed that the family of mice at our impromptu wedding were, in fact, rabbits. Which would explain their long slender ears and penchant for carrots.
Somehow the glow of memory had transformed these humble leporidae into Mus musculus—perhaps because quite a few of those live in the farmhouse as well. And they definitely enjoy cake.
Since the rabbits are avid readers of the Respite, I rushed down to apologize as soon as I realized my mistake. I found them hunkered around the tiny dollhouse kitchen table reading a book called, So You’re A Mouse, Now What?
They were very relieved to learn that they were not, in fact, mice at all.
“Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle.”
Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
May we all gain more clarity today about who we are, too.
Onwards,
Clara
Oh, amen to that Clara.💖😊
And, i ask "who am I today?"
